Get Ready Philippines!

Nowadays, we are suffering a crisis. This is caused by the coronavirus. It has brought lot of challenges to the world. The continuous spread of COVID is a big warning to every country. Almost all of the country had to shut down their economies to stop the spread of the virus.

One of these countries is the Philippines. It have taken strict measures by implementing the Enhanced Community Quarantine on March 15, 2020.

The Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) did help in preventing the spread of the virus. The Philippine government is convincing everyone to stay home to minimize the contact of people in a crowd because COVID-19 is an invisible enemy. The Philippines is already flattening the curve. The idea of slowing the spread of virus so that fewer people need to seek treatment at any given time is known as "flattening the curve". That's the reason why the Philippines experienced lockdown. The cases of COVID in our country is no longer growing but it doesn't mean that the Philippines is defeating the virus fully. It can be consider that our country is winning the battle because there are some parts of the country that are already COVID-free.

The plans of the government on modifying the ECQ to a General Community Quarantine (GCQ) is one of the move of the Philippine government against the spread of COVID. But what can we do to become more resilient against any crisis? I think the effective way is to cooperate and work together to stop this pandemic. Follow the rules implemented by the government because this COVID pandemic is indeed a battle. Our country need us. We won't win the battle if we don't have the power of cooperation. Let's do it! Get Ready Philippines! Let's walk toward a more resilient Philippines with a collective effect and solidarity!

  4. It is evident that us Filipinos are resilient towards facing any kind of economic crisis. But as such like pandemic, this is not a joke. Our health is in danger. We should instill to our mind that it's not always about the government efforts that we should lean on. The discipline within ourselves should be applied to avoid spreading the virus. Our enemy is not Covid it's Us, ourselves.
