Dear President Duterte,

Fantastic! Just the thought of writing a letter to you, Mr. President…is already a great honor! Just the idea of getting noticed by you, the president of the Philippines…oh bizarre! I feel overwhelmed to communicate with you…you who turned the Philippines into a better one.

  The government is doing its ‘best’. And talking about one’s best: lately, you, Mr. President is doing a move to stop or lessen the burden of COVID in our country. You are better than the previous presidents. I know that your responsibility is stressful and tiring but you’re still doing your best to keep us safe. I salute you for that Mr. President! As you move forward, the haters or bashers are trying to pull you down. But you just continue your responsibility as president to show them that they were wrong about the things they said about you.

        A few years ago, you started a war on drugs. It caused too many damages or pain to the involved people. I know that your goal for that war is to make our country a drug free one. I hope you can achieve your goal. 


        As a student, I support your style of leadership because I can see that you’re doing your best to rule us and to make our country as peace as possible.

We can make our country better. As long as you are doing your responsibility, I’ll support you. Let us campaign for government leaders whose powerful with a heart so that we can achieve the victory that we want. Let’s cooperate. Philippines for the victory!

    Good Day Israela! Your letter is written in a straight forward manner and it is also well-structured. However, I refuse to agree on your opinions written in this blog. Based on what I witness on what is happening in our country, I can say that Mr. President is not that competent enough. In fact, I can see him as an incompetent leader. Nonetheless, I respect your opinion.

    I also support our president because I also know that he is trying his best to serve our country. I agree that as long as he is doing his responsibilities, I'll support him. I hope that he'll do everything for the betterment of our country.

    There are indeed good things that our president had done, which I fully support him for that; however, I hope that you also acknowledge the poor decisions he made during his presidency. For me, it is not wrong to criticize him as long as it is for the betterment of our country. And I also think that the president must be able to listen to the opinions of others and take it as a challenge to improve himself.

         Students are used of face-to-face learning. Because of COVID-19, students suddenly experienced a new normal learning which is modular learning or online classes. As a student who is used to the face-to-face learning, I can say that it is really hard for me to adapt the new normal learning in the first day or week of this school year. But I learned and discovered that I have the ability to understand the lesson by myself. I learned to manage my time in answering all of my modules. But I still encounter problems and challenges.          I admit that I was easily distracted because of the noises I hear in my surroundings. I struggled in accomplishing my modules because I am not sure what would be the answer for those tasks. Sometimes, I have a hard time understanding the lessons because I can only teach myself unlike in face-to-face learning, I can ask anything to the teacher.
